The significance of the forests cannot be underestimated. The survival of people and most of the animals depend on the forests. First, the forests are the home of different flora and fauna. Most animals, birds, small and microscopic organisms depend on the forests for survival. According to Austin, Schwantes, Gu, & Kasibhatla (2019), the forests are home to 80 percent of the world’s terrestrial biodiversity. For instance, the tropical rainforests are the home of thousands of birds, animals, insects, worms, and keystone species like wolves.
Secondly, it helps people in air circulations. They release oxygen in the atmosphere and absorb carbon (IV) Oxide. Austin, Schwantes, Gu, & Kasibhatla (2019) elaborate that a single leaf produces a daily amount of oxygen that sustains about 2-10 people every day.
