Types of patrol include active patrol, which focuses on unusual events. This patrol interrupts crimes that are about to be executed. However, community relation in active patrol is poor because innocent people may be harassed by the police. Another type of patrol is random patrol. This patrol minimizes criminal escapes because it is done secretly. Community relation is maintained since the patrol target only those areas that are prone to crimes.
Identify at least two improvements or innovations that have been incorporated to aid in patrol. How does each improve police patrol work?
Improvements that have been incorporated in patrol include police car computers, which connected to onboard cameras. These computers help to improve communication (Cilia, 2016). For instance, police can request and send criminal records while in patrol. Another improvement is one-man patrol cars that are more efficient than two-men police cars.
