Answer preview

This case is also critical since, after the downfall of President Mubarak opening an opportunity for a new constitution, president and parliament institutions in the Mubarak regime maintained a strong power base and established a counterrevolution taking power from President Mohammed Morsi through a military coup in June 2013. Considering that it is the Mubarak institution’s power base that created the foundation for the El Sisi regime, it is critical to understand the unique factors that are linked to revolution. In other words, this case is critical since from the Mubarak regime to the El Sisi regime; there is no significant transition from an autocratic rule to a pluralist democracy[1].  Particularly the post-Mubarak Muslim Brotherhood government is considered a barrier to democratic change over a facilitator, and hence it is important to understand why no revolution has emerged.
