Philosophy is defined as the thoughts that individuals have or the stand that individuals have chosen to take in regards to a certain issue. Therefore, the philosophy of law amounts to the thoughts that individuals have concerning the law. This paper will look into my personal stand on the law. In an attempt to achieve this, I intend to refer to different scholars who have motivated my understanding of the law as well as the school of thought that I subscribe to. When supporting and critiquing different existing philosophers, I have used my personal background as well as the observations that I have made on the Kenyan law.

Introduction
Law is like romantic love; ever changing, never constant, sometimes heartbreaking but most times advantageous. The law is not constant; it changes depending on the needs of the society. It can be heartbreaking as certain laws are not inclusive and they can also be discriminatory. The law is advantageous as without it, societies would not be able to live in peace and harmony which would affect the economic and social position of the society.
