Review the many examples of process evaluation results described in Chapter 8 of Dudley, J. R. (2014). Social work evaluation: Enhancing what we do. (2nd ed.) Chicago, IL: Lyceum Books, or in the optional resources. Select an example of a process evaluation that produced valuable information. Compare the description of those results with the Social Work Research Qualitative Groups case study located in this week’s resources: I will upload the case study

Process evaluation is a continuous activity that enables organizations to measure the outcome of specific actions and efforts against the intended future goals. Process evaluation, therefore, estimates whether the programs have brought the expected results. In the journal covering integrated child welfare and substance abuse, underlying issues on the effects of parental substance abuse on child welfare were covered. A pilot study was conducted, and substance abuse counselors stationed in a local child welfare office. The program was to aid early identification, timely treatment and active referral and engagement of parents who abuse drugs and alcohol (Lee,  Esaki, & Greene, 2009).
