Argumentative Essay about college students’ data privacy

The question that I am trying to answer in this argumentative paper is:

Why is it essential that college students be aware of how their data is being collected and used and be aware of what endanger their privacy?

Please focus on college students, and their data privacy. Ways that endanger students’ data privacy can be lack of security in college systems or the data that is being collected or used or analyzed by other companies like Facebook or Google.

It should be an argumentative research paper arguing that college student’s data privacy should matter a lot to them, their school, and companies, and there should be more regulations on data collection and the use of data.

The target is COLLEGE students. The focus is on data privacy. Reading about Big Data can be helpful. Also, one important thing is that it is not only the data collection that is important but how companies analyze data is important as well.

For examples, a company may collect your purchases at Target, and using those data CREATE NEW DATA and predict that you are pregnant. I have done research around it, it’s just I won’t have time to finish the paper.
