Background

The University of South Florida (USF) is increasingly experiencing traffic concerns from the growing university population. With a community of about 50,000 students and 16,000 faculty members who have to visit the university daily, management of traffic has grown into being a significant concern. The number of vehicles that have to visit the university premise, and that requires packing within the facility is alarming with the present parking facilitation. This has consequently led to severe repercussions such as time wastage within the university premises. Students and workers have to hustle a lot to obtain a free parking zone, and in most cases, they end up packing in the far regions of the institution. This makes them have to walk to their classes and other facilities that they have to attend to.  Suffice it to say; the University of South Florida need to invest in infrastructure and build on policies that will reduce the current traffic congestion and issues in the institutional parking zones.
