Interpreting the data

Interpreting the data

Please copy and paste three examples of how your Team might use the data to represent the collective responses.

Please give a brief explanation as to why your chosen representations seem to be the most appropriate.

Everyone weighs in, thus not a grouped assignment…

I will post her week announcement, it might help

Theme: Scaffolding and analyzing the data & building your paper

Our Agenda for this Week will consist of:

  • Review of Quantitative Research (Please see my PPT in Lecture Notes titled: Quantitative Research Design – Lecture 2019). There is no voice over this time as you will need to watch instructions on how to get you going “Descriptive Statistics”;
  • Begin to manipulate and analyze your data;
    • Submit at least three forms of how you might use the data to explain your interpretation offered by the respondents (pie charts, bar graphs, scattered graph, etc.)
  • Taking a look at your assigned reading for this week (from your text) and how that might be hidden in the data and help you to interpret the patterns:
  • In addition to interpreting the data, most of the week should be spent on writing your paper and continuing to do appropriate research that includes both what has been provided for you, as well as new concepts and authors that you have identified on your own.

Just as a reminder, please make sure that you are clear on the nature of how you are extracting quantitative data. Below give you two examples of both Quant and Qual:

Quantitative Research Interview Questions

  1. What is the difference between you and your competitors in areas of revenue and brand recognition?
  2. What is the attitudinal relationship between a 3-day holiday weekend, and vacation time taken to extend a 2-day weekend to a 3-day weekend?

Qualitative Research Interview Questions

  1. Why is it important to actively engage with your customers as a means of communicating value?
  2. What are your thoughts about government oversight, and how it impacts your business operations specifically?

A quick reference point for getting clear on the difference between Quant and Qual:

Finally, please find the Excel doc attached below that is being discussed in the link that is provided in my PPT. Content is on Descriptive stats, pivot tables and charts.

In our group, we will use graphs and charts in the evaluation of the data to determine the most preferred phone model in the market. Charts and graphs help to interpret a set of data by giving a visual representation that shows the relationship between various variables. Using an example of the frequency of phones purchased within a given period chart can be useful to represent the frequency for each. This technique is essential for the interpretation of information in data set where different entities show different relationship for the dependent variables such as frequency (Bateman et al., 2010)…
