Employee turnover is often a result of an unfavorable work environment and low salary. The salary and employee benefits vary among companies in the same industry, and Zhang (2016) asserts that these differences influence the duration an employee stays in an organization. Emerging pharmaceuticals and Medtronic are pharmaceutical companies that operate in the same locality, but the employee benefits differ between the companies. Employees of Emerging pharmaceuticals have been moving to Medtronic because it pays well and has good work benefits. This paper focuses on identifying the issues leading to employee turnover and recommending ways of addressing the issues to minimize the turnover.
