Answer preview

Organizational change is sensitive, and the way it is handled determines whether it will be a success or fail. The first cause of failure is often the process of poor planning. It is something that affects the change process negatively due to disruptions in the change process. Many leaders focus on the result without concentrating on the step-by-step progress. Leadership or managerial support is needed in any organizational change (Holbeche et a., 2018).  For any laid down changes, leaders must continuously champion in all ways possible to make sure that it is effective. They must actively and consistently support the change teams by communicating the benefits of change to stakeholders, responding to the team concerns, and making sure that the change is launched at the right time. Lack of resources is one of the key reasons why organizational changes do not take place. It is because every change needs to be facilitated in terms of cash flow and materials. Many organizational changes are long-term investments that need quality time and enough money to implement them. Also, lack of competent change leaders and priority focus on people versus the change, whereby leaders fail to look at the people who will live with the change, making the change fail.
