Similarly, nurses have an ethical duty to avoid all protocols that would otherwise cause harm and instead implement those that do result in good outcomes. Upholding these principles ensures patients’ safety. This means nurses should advocate for practices that improve patient good and which enhance optimum health outcomes.  Additionally, nurses should disclose all information to a patient regarding any care model or any medical intervention (Sorrell, 2017). This helps patients to understand all medical dimensions before making any decision. The other ethical issue in nursing practice is that nurses should exercise justice. This means it is morally wrong, for example, to use medicine to one patient and discriminate against others based on race, ethnicity, or any other determinant. Nurses should provide equitable healthcare to all patients.
