The recent advancement in technology has led to the development of cryptocurrency.  The massive growth in usage and popularity recently attracted greater attention to different people, including legislatures (Tomić, Todorović, & Čakajac, 2020).  One important feature of cryptocurrency is that it is not controlled by any central authority like the central bank.  The decentralized nature of the cryptocurrencies theatrically makes them immune from government control or interference (Sauer, 2016).
