Sexually transmitted infections (STIs) like chlamydia, genital herpes, gonorrhea, syphilis, and human papillomavirus, threaten people’s health. These infections spread during oral, anal, and vaginal sexual contact, sharing injections, skin-to-skin contact, and blood contact with the infected person. The lack of symptoms makes it challenging to discover the STI in most cases. An individual with a history of an STI can easily transmit the infection to the sexual partner, as seen in the presented case study, J.R., a 36-year-old white female.
