Robert Steinberg (appellant) applied to the appellee (Chicago Medical School) to gain first-year admission for the 1974-1975 academic year. The appellant also paid the required $15 fee to enter the institution. Steinberg decided to institute a class-action lawsuit against the applicant when the appellant’s admission was turned down.
