Answer preview

The Civil Aviation Authority requires that two types of licenses are needed for one to become a qualified aircraft maintenance engineer. One of the licenses should be from the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) that should be obtained under Part 66 to enable one to work on EASA aircraft. The second license is from the U.K. National British Civil Airworthiness Requirements (BCAR) that should be obtained under Section L. This license helps engineers to work in the U.K. National Annex 2 aircraft. Before acquiring the licenses, one must complete and pass modular examinations followed by a specific period for aircraft maintenance
