Portals in the simple definition are websites that serve as entry point on the internet to a specific field of interest. The main purpose of portals is to provide each user with a personalized and integrated view the business information applications (Kobayashi, & Inamasu, 2015). Besides offering simple contents, the majority of the portals offer other services including, email, chat, highly customizable sorting and searching, and endless ways for personalizing the user content. A portal can also provide a directory of Web sites, which can be used to access other sites, news, and weather information. A portal can also provide stock quotes, phone, and map information. There are other cases though rare that portals are used to provide a community forum. The two distinctive types of portals are the infinity and focused content portal.
