Answer previewAnorexia nervosa and bulimia nervosa may have negative consequences on the person’s body. If someone has anorexia nervosa, the person skips meals and avoid certain types of food. This behavior can help someone reduce weight, but it leads to malnourishment. That is, the body becomes weak due to insufficient nutrients and energy in the body. Anorexia nervosa may also lead to dehydration because the body may not have enough water (Frank, Shott, & DeGuzman, 2019). Victims of bulimia nervosa may develop digestive problems because they interrupt the digestion process with excess exercises and induced vomiting. The disorder may also lead to irregular menstruation periods in females, thus compromising fertility.
