Bursitis comes from the presence of an irritation caused by an injury on a tissue in the bursa, the fluid-filled pads, which results in inflammation. The disorder is experienced after an extended period of repetitive movement of injured joints. The repetitive movement with an injury on the bursae that act as lubricants for natural movement thus led to the development of the problem. The tendons and muscles close to the bursa get overused causing the disorder to arise. Some symptoms of the disease include swelling, pain, and stiffness in the affected areas (Burke, 2016).
