I believe gone are the days when employees would work only on commission. Although most employers use a commission based program to motivate employees to work extra hard and facilitate more sales, they may as well lower their morale. This is because there is no guarantee of income especially in days when they do not make any sales (Huang, et al., 2016). Commissioned employees sometimes fail to put much emphasis on building a long-term relationship with the company. When they develop a feeling that the sales job is not as exciting as they would expect, most of the employees end up quitting. This will definitely affect the company’s long-term objective. (541words)
