In the CSU Online Library, using the Business Source Ultimate database, search for and read the article titled “How Barbie Lost her Groove,” by Nash and Duvall (2005). Compose a persuasive response that includes the following elements:
Culture and practices.
You will need to complete the activity with the population or immerse yourself in an environment that will help you become more comfortable with the identified population and/or help you dispel some stereotypes by gaining more knowledge.
Emotional intelligence.
This discussion is about the importance of emotional intelligence in the workplace (see page 76 in textbook). Please remember the adhere to Netiquette guidelines (see page 8 course syllabus) so that we can share and be part of an inclusive classroom environment.
Social Responsibility .
Define corporate social responsibility (CSR) in your own words. Once you have defined CSR, conduct research on your favorite Fortune 500 company and determine just how (or if) the company ranks from a CSR perspective. Provide the name of the company and a link to at least one reference from your research. Do your findings change the way you will support the company in the future?
Exceptional at-home environment.
Create a 12- to 16-slide presentation for the families of your primary classroom students, in which you emphasize principles of language acquisition and reading by describing an exceptional at-home environment for primary readers and writers.
