Cross-tabulation
In this week, we take a look at cross-tabulation or contingency tables, which deals with analysis of tabular data. This implies analysis of categorical/nominal variables. Moreover, chi-square and other measures of association are discussed, too.
Crosstabulation or contingency tables deals with analysis of tabular data, which implies analysis of categorical/nominal variables. In this module, chi-square and other measures of association are discussed.
Upon successful completion of this module, you will be able to:
Develop research questions and testable hypotheses linked to existing theory or research.
Develop hypotheses, choose appropriate statistics to test them, and describe the results correctly in a short research paper.

Myths and misconceptions
Discussion 1
Myths and Misconceptions
There are diverse and several individuals that break the mold when it comes to the myths and misconceptions that fuel our view of this segment of the population.
Instructions:
1. Read the Story of Joe and then think about your own elderly person that can break the mold. SEE ATTACHMENT FOR STORY
Tell “your own story” of how a member of the elderly population changed your perception of what the elderly are all about
2. Write your own story about someone you know that is elderly, or possibly, just someone that “can break the mold” that was the intention of the original ACES material.

Mixed methods research methodology
Please read the designated chapters in your resource for this Week 5 assignment. This is an integrative assignment. Please also review the resources you used for Weeks 3 and 4, as they will also be useful in this integrative assignment. A review of the assignments for Weeks 3 and 4 may also be useful.
This assignment has three parts:
Part 1: Insights Summary
Prepare a summary of what you believe to be the three most important insights gleaned from the Chapters you read in the resource SAGE Mixed Methods Research.
Part 2: Data Surveys
Select three national quantitative data surveys that address a specific population health problem. Identify each by name, intended purpose, and the reference source.
Part 3: Assessment Instruments
What qualitative assessment instrument or instruments will complement your choice of quantitative data surveys? That is what qualitative approach you would use to reinforce or highlight the need for an intervention in your community. Recall
Management of chronic diseases
In this assignment, you are to determine the most effective strategy or strategies for managing the health of a population. Remember, that the term intervention is used interchangeably with the term strategy.
Using your text and the resources for this week, identify PHM strategies designed as interventions for three chronic diseases (e.g., hypertension, diabetes, obesity). If you are currently employed in a position where you are involved with the management of chronic diseases, you may select one or two from your place of employment. The third must come from this week’s resources. Once this process is completed, please do the following:
Identify the chronic disease you have selected and cite the resource.
Identify and describe the intervention(s).
Explain your reason for using the intervention(s).
Discuss how you plan to implement the intervention(s).
