A. Author, “Title of Article”, Title of Periodical, date, page number(s).
II. Body (in your own words)
A. State briefly the content and main points of the article. Presentation of the information in a logical, free flowing manner is imperative — a person should be able to read your abstract and understand the main points without having to read the article itself.
III. Evaluation
A. Critique the article as it relates to:
1. Content
2. Value to the profession
3. Methodology to apply content of the article
4. Other comments
Abstracts are to come from a current journal or periodical, (3 years old or newer) not a textbook or other reference book (topic related to safety inspection). Abstracts must be typed double-spaced with 1″ margins. No fonts larger than 12 point are to be used. Abstracts should be 1-1/2 to 2 pages in length. Neatness (spelling grammar, appearance) counts. Do not use a cover sheet. Any variation from the above format will result in loss of points. Abstracts may be graded by for grammar and spelling
Drug testing
This assignment requires you to write a position paper using the classical argument structure.
Topic: Should people on welfare be required to submit to drug testing?
(I believe it should be a requirement)
There are five requirements for the Classical Argument Position Paper:
Write a classical argument position paper of 750-850 words.
Include a title page, headers, and page numbers in correct APA format.
Cite at least four different sources in your paper.
Use the following organization for your paper:
Get the reader’s attention by means of an interesting, engaging introduction.
Give the necessary background information so the reader understands the issue.
Clearly state your position.
Criminal Investigation Study
A minimum of 1,000 words(total assignment) and threescholarly sources. The references does not count towards the word count!!
If you ONLY do the minimum word count, then it is considered “average” work, which is a “C”; therefore, it is best to make sure you cover the topics well and not just do enough to meet the minimum number of words.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Papers on the following topics will not be accepted:

* capital punishment
* euthanasia
For the Letter to the Editor, you should also be choosing a topic that is far more specific and local than any of these broad controversial issues.
