Basically, there is no right answer to the number of police officers that a jurisdiction needs. This is because all the models used to establish the right quantity of the police officers have their limitations. For instance, the computer simulation models have their own limitations. They are designed to determine the number of officers needed to provide certain levels of services. However, this model does not account for the dynamic nature of the police system. Officers usually modify or change their characters and attitudes towards serviced based on the workload demand.
