Answer preview

Capital budgeting is a business process that evaluates the viability of different projects and investments in a company or business before being rejected or approved. Most capital investments and projects in companies or organizations have assets that have useful lives of many years.  These investments’ financial viability has to be made to focus on their cash flows rather than focusing on their profits. As a utility company’s financial manager, I will be using three primary capital budgeting techniques for some upcoming projects. The timing of the future will be accounted for and converted into the present period.
