The overview helps one to form a framework of what to expect from the investigation. Further, the author provides evidence-based research of the case by deriving leading facts from interview narrations of how the Markoff conducted his crimes. A significant fact from this research shows that Markoff committed the crimes in a calm manner, but he was violent when a victim provoked him.
