This experience has taught me that being different from others in the environment requires understanding and learning the difference in others. It is crucial since it will help in communicating effectively and openly without any contradictions. From my experience, I learned that people from different cultures or tribes should be treated respectfully to avoid conflicts. One must be aware of the practices of the people who are different to address them in a respectable and welcoming manner. The insights gained from the experience that I could apply to the current work situations is that the workplace should be culturally accepting (Tribe, 2014).
