In comparison with the changes that occur during adolescence, there are notable differences. A significant cognitive change among teenagers is that they become concrete thinkers. In my experience, I could think more hypothetically using a well-thought process, unlike in middle childhood, where my logical thinking was not that advanced (Shaffer, & Kipp, 2013). For instance, in my teenage, I had to create a day’s play activities rotter to keep my siblings engaged when my parents were away on Saturdays. I was more comfortable involving my siblings at home because the changes affected my confidence when interacting externally, unlike in middle childhood. Generally, teenagers experience significant body changes, which make them feel embarrassed. Boys break their voice, and girls’ breasts enlarge. However, in middle childhood, the body changes are only gradual, as mentioned, but not quite revealing like in adolescence.
