Answer preview

Peripheral neuropathy is a medical terminology used to denote the nerve damage occasioned by diabetes and high blood sugar (Jarvis, 2019). Approximately seventy percent of people suffering from diabetes eventually suffer from peripheral neuropathy. Despite this, some of them do not feel any pain brought about by the nerve damage. When assessing a diabetic patient, one of the things I would expect to see is numbness and loss of sensation in their hands, feet, or legs (Jarvis, 2019). Noticing this will then be an indicator that the patient is suffering from diabetic peripheral neuropathy.
