In response to the discussion post, it is true that the Hospital Acquired Conditions (HAC) in CentraCare Health has not been meeting the metrics established by Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). The health organization has been experiencing financial challenges which have been a major contributor to the unmet margins. I chose to respond to this discussion due to the rising alarm of the continual increase in the HAC in the health organization. It is quite unfortunate that HACs have continuously contributed to further problems. For instance, the patients’ stay is usually extended so that they can recover from the HACs.
