Socially, people suffering from amusia encounter some problems in their daily activities. Except that these people has the inability to detect music the remaining part of the brain remains intact. One thing they go through is that they perceive music as noise and annoying to listen to through their ears. Amusic sufferers do not enjoy listening to music since they refer to it as unpleasant (Sihvonen, et al, 2016. In case these people attend functions that constitute playing of music they find themselves in an uncomfortable situation and may even prefer walking out of the event. In the Chinese language, most words are pronounced using a certain pitch or tone in them. If the pitch is slightly changed then the whole word loses its meaning. People suffering from amusia may end up getting difficulties in understanding and even in speaking the language.
