An example of a software in which ease of learning conflict with ease of use is the Linux operating system. It is difficult for someone who has never heard of Linux OS to learn how to interact with it. It is because the Linux user interface does not have many graphics to direct or give a hint on what the user is supposed to do. Instead, the user is required to memorize commands and syntax to interact with the Linux terminal. This is the hard way to learn because once the user has forgotten a particular command, he/she can do nothing. On the other hand, Linux operating systems are the easiest to use. It because they give users the power to do anything that the computer can do without restrictions. Such privilege is not available in the Windows operating system, which puts restrictions on access tokens (Bassil, 2012).
