Other employers who offer workers compensation to their workers will be disadvantaged since they will be spending more money on workers benefits. These undocumented workers contribute to our economy, and therefore it will be unethical for them to be left alone after what they have contributed to the development of our state. Undocumented immigrants contribute to our economy by spending money in the state and also paying taxes. The immigrants buy food, and everything they need in the state and therefore, the money they earn returns to the state economy, which boosts our economy. Becerra et al. (2012) say that undocumented workers’ contribution to the economy exceeds the services they receive from us. Therefore, the ethical thing for us is to ensure that these people are not taken advantage of by people in our society.
