Egyptians were the first to classify drugs and maintain a medical record and crusaders war in the early 1100 AD had major blows on health care, but the churches introduced military nursing orders which had a positive impact. It is during the Renaissance period that the advancement in medical and public health was experienced as a result of growing interest in science and technology. Later on, the phase of nursing practice was changed by Florence Nightingale who gained nursing training for some months and helped to train other nurses who worked tirelessly towards making the nursing field a better trade (Nightingale, 2017). Nurses are critical in the medical care field as through them assistance is given to the patients before the doctors attend to them.
