There really are no resources again this week other than the paper that’s been worked on which I uploaded. I also added some other topics that we can add into the paper that might be of some help. This is what the professor just suggested hopefully it can help.
In addition it might be better (but not necessary) to ask the question how race relations affect police brutality rather than vice versa?! Also maybe one should investigate the impact of multiculturalism on race relations, unless you wish to demonstrate the obstacles that existing race relations in the U.S. impose on embracing multiculturalism.

Martin & Kposowa (2018) blame the stereotyping of African Americans’ stereotyping for the lousy treatment police give black people in the US. The prosecution of a few white officers has been done in the US, but this has been inadequate in discouraging targeted violence. Martin & Kposowa (2018) says that a survey of the largest city police departments shows that 59 of the 60 police departments killed civilians, with most of those killed being blacks. Studies show that majority of the black people harassed by the police are unarmed. Even though there have been attempts to link community violence with police brutality, Martin & Kposowa (2018) says that studies have not offered a satisfactory explanation of the link between community violence and excessive force usage. In most cases, community violence tends to be high in areas occupied by people of low economic status and this, in most cases, are the areas inhabited by African Americans.
