Answer preview
The instructional approach for the course was quite practical. The application section of developing a research strategy and proposal made the topic to be meaningful. However, various other techniques can yield additional valuable information. Given the importance of research, I feel that the research topic should not be a one-off course. Students should be exposed to more research studies and do more practice in data collection and analysis. Students can either do the research cases individually or in groups.
Additionally, the entire course is pervasive. I feel that in the future, it would be better to cover small bits but in-depth. After covering each section, students should do practical writing and demonstrate their understanding before progressing to another segment. The only way for the student to become proficient in research is to do more research.
