Answer previewAs alluded to in the previous section of the paper, inspection and code enforcement is one of the primary tasks undertaken by the Tucson fire prevention division. The overriding rationale and benefits associated with this activity are the prevention of unnecessary fires and guaranteeing the safety of building occupants (Buchanan and Abu, 2017). Regularly inspecting buildings to ensure that they conform to the established fire codes and standards reduces the likelihood of fires popping up, and even when they do pop up, the impact of such fires will be much less, especially when a building is up to code (Buchanan and Abu, 2017). This ultimate goal also guides the adoption of other fire prevention activities such as public education and fire inspections.
