Diversity and inclusion are common terms that are used interchangeably.  However, inclusion and diversity are two different terms. According to Sherwin, & Rashid (2017, February 1), diversity can be interpreted as the demographic attributes like gender, age, race, ethnicity, education, disability, religion and etcetera that can be used to differentiate a group, people. On the other hand, inclusion involves the efforts that are put forth by the organization to accept and value individuals from different demographic variables.  Inclusion improves an individual’s sense of belongingness; they feel more respected and valued.  People feel more motivated and committed to their work when they are valued or accepted.
