Answer  preview

Dante Inferno is a narrative that describes Dante’s journey from the consequences of sin to seeking redemption and repentance. He finds himself lost in dark wood and starts to find his way back to a hill bathed in sunlight. However, he is confronted by three fierce beasts known as a leopard, lion, and a She-wolf. He is dreaded with fear and runs back to the sunless wood where he meets Virgil, who comes to his rescue. The main reason why Dante finds himself in the forest is as a result of sin. Every ordeal that Dante experiences through hell illustrates the consequences of sin.
