Answer preview

World Wars 1 and 2 are the deadliest wars to be experienced across the world. These world wars involved the world superpower including Britain, the Soviet Union, Germany, France, it lay, japan, and the United States of America. Kennedy (2013) outlines that both WW1 and WW2 left significant losses and destruction across the world. WW1 left a total of civilian and military WW1 of approximately million. There were 20 fatalities and 21 million injured.  It left 10 million civilians and 9.7 million military personnel dead. On the other hand, WW2 turned out to be more devastating as it left over 75 million people dead, including over 40 million civilians and 20 million military personnel dead (Kennedy, 2013). Even though the same countries fought both WWI and WW2, there was a significant change in weaponry, machines, strategy, and engineering between the two. The innovation of some weaponry, tactics, strategies, and engineering in world war I foreshadowed the establishment of sophisticated military weaponry, tactics, and engineering in World War two, resulting in mass destruction and deaths whose effects are still felt today in some countries.
