Answer  preview

A community health needs assessment (CHNA) is a procedural mechanism utilized to examine a specified population’s health patterns. Its utility emanates from the fact that people with shared characteristics, practices, or even the same location are affected by similar health factors. Therefore, such an assessment provides a comprehensive understanding of the core health characteristics, challenges, and needs. The information that CHNA processes yield is essential in understanding a particular population’s health and determining the most appropriate resource allocation mechanism for addressing their needs (Cowley, 2020). This paper conducts a community health needs assessment for Alexandria and highlights some of the common challenges in most community health needs assessment.
