Some of the HR practices are more crucial when it comes to improving the quality than the others. One of the practices is total quality management. Total quality management refers to the principle whereby all the staff is dedicated to having high standards of work in all the operations of the company. Each and every staff has to be part of the improving processes, services and the culture that is in place. The employees are involved in the planning of the processes that are likely to result in the improvement of the quality of services that the hospital is offering (Patel, 2009). The employees are then able to participate in solving the problems that will result in better care. Another HR practice is compensation. The employees should be offered both intrinsic and extrinsic compensation. This helps in making them feel valued and in return, they remain committed to the facility leading to quality improvement.
