Social welfare is one of the thorniest issues in modern society. While the overall improvement in quality of life has been a defining feature of modern civilization, the progress has not been felt across all spheres of life. Homelessness is one of the most pertinent problems facing the US and other developed countries (Glynn & Fox, 2019). With policy providing little reprieve to the affected people and families, homeless people have been left to rely on the services offered by few entities. Hart City Women’s Shelter is one such organization dedicated to providing shelter to this vulnerable group. This paper evaluates the program’s processes and output in the context of its ability to satisfy the needs of the population it aims to serve.
