Rosalina Balaciosos was one historical individual that was involved in the development of “female inteligencia.” Her role was of great significance since she motivated other women to engage in this event, which was aimed at empowering women. Rosalina Balaciosos was a well-known female activist who was active during the 20th Century. She was a member of the Royal Chicano Air Force (RCAF) which was among the associations involved in the Chicano movement. Therefore, her role played an important part when she attended the International women’s’ Conference in Mexico City and encouraged other women to unite with her in the creation of female muralists. They were celebrating women from all over the globe through the creation of her art, “Female Inteligencia” (Rosen and Fisher, 2014).
