Answer  preview

In recent decades, supply chain integrity has been a national issue following several instances of fraud in the manufacture, supply, and prescription of drugs. Some examples include the opioid crisis of the 1990s and the second wave in 2010. In both instances, pharmacists were at the front line of swelling addictive drugs to patients who did not have valid prescriptions (Bolliger & Stevens, 2019). The repercussions that followed were criminal action taken against the key businesses and the termination of contracts for the management of these pharmacists. This research investigates the role of leadership in preserving the integrity of the supply chain and how developing the right leadership skills can positively impact supply chain integrity.
