Mandatory sentencing gives rights to financially unstable victims and dealing with corrupt judges (Tolmie, 2018). For example, some judges are used to corruption such that if one does not have money, the individual get the maximum sentencing and vice versa. Also, some crimes are too big, and they deserve maximum sentencing, but just because the law states otherwise, those people end up coming back to society, and some end up revenging on the victims. Mandatory sentencing minimizes crimes in the community bringing a peaceful environment.
