Title VII Gender Discrimination in Employment Practices Sexual Harassment Based on Hostile Work Environment Quid-Pro-Quo Sexual Harassment Sexual Orientation in the Workplace s Sexual harassments in workplaces can be explained in those cases where a person can be subjected to issues like those of rape and is forced to keep quiet or risk getting exposed or get fired. The law requires that if someon Quid-Pro-Quo Sexual situation is a case where managers or top-level leaders hints to an employee that they will receive workplace promotion or even pay increase in exchange for sexual favors from the employee (MacKinnon, 2018). Ethically this is not acceptable, and the law requires promotions or pay rises to be based on Performance or education levels but not because of sexual favors to the management. Employees can protest these situations to the courts if they detect them.
Sexual orientation in workplaces occurs when one is subjected to torture, harassment or even discrimination just because of one’s sexual preference. Lesbian, gay, bisexual and the transgender persons are the ones that are mostly subjected to this kind of discrimination in many workplaces. The law requires that the LGBT community should be given equal opportunities like the other employees and should not be segregated (Whitley & Kite, 2016).
