Leaders and managers may have different roles, but they also have some similarities. For instance, both managers’ and leaders’ roles revolve around people and factors that influence them. They focus on making people work for the organization in order to achieve the set nursing goals. Also, the roles of the nursing manager and leaders form the foundation of a healthcare organization. The mission of all healthcare organizations is to provide patient care. However, these organizations cannot achieve the mission without healthcare workers. It is the work of managers and leaders to make sure that the organization has access to skilled health workers through processes like recruitment, directing, motivation, and organization.
