Like most companies with a global supply chain, ALBAIK was also affected by the pandemic and the subsequent restrictions imposed by the Saudi Arabian government to control the spread of COVID-19. The company could not access the ingredients needed to make its products. Furthermore, such circumstances also prevented it from availing its products to consumers as efficiently as it did before. The disruption to the company’s logistics ventures and supply chain had and continues to have an adverse impact on its profitability. This is a problem that the company should immediately address to guarantee its continued success in the Saudi Arabian fast food industry and its long-term viability and sustainability.
