This assignment is a formal paper. This includes APA format, title page, headings, literature review, proper citation per APA, logical sequence, conclusions, clarity, understanding of the topic, and reference list. There are various concepts associated with a culture that is crucial within the healthcare setup. As the previous section points out, cultural competence is the capacity of healthcare providers to satisfy their patients’ cultural needs. On the other hand, cultural awareness contemplates one’s ability to examine themselves and recognize how their individual beliefs shape their understanding of healthcare and their subsequent actions. The third concept is cultural sensitivity, and this one entails recognizing that different cultures exist and that one must appreciate their influence on people’s healthcare perceptions.  The main difference lies in their approach to cultural influences in the healthcare framework. Cultural awareness is introspective as it involves evaluating the effect of your own culture on health perceptions. At the same time, sensitivity is more outward-looking as it provides a basis for understanding other people’s behaviors and attitudes through the lenses of their cultural norms. In this regard, one may perceive cultural competence as a combination of both inward and outward cultural examinations by medical practitioners to create a culturally favorable healthcare environment for patients.
