Mold exists in damp areas and has adverse health consequences to children in such environments. Some children are more sensitive to mold exposure than others are. Molds produce spores and toxins that have irritating and harmful effects. Asthmatic children are particularly susceptible to mold spores, which, when inhaled will frequent the attacks and worsens the development of asthma.
